The EduAI course follows a flexible, self‑paced blended model that combines focused content delivery with active, reflective, and project‑based learning. Organised into five modules, it offers interactive lectures, essential readings, exploratory activities, and guided opportunities for participants to experiment with AI tools in their own teaching contexts. Alongside individual tasks, such as designing AI‑enhanced teaching and learning strategies, educators engage in the Co‑Creator Lab, an open collaborative space for sharing ideas, exchanging feedback, and co‑developing innovative approaches. Self‑assessment and reflective prompts at the end of each module support ongoing, self‑regulated learning. Overall, this delivery model balances autonomy and collaboration, ensuring educators gain both practical skills and conceptual understanding to confidently integrate AI into social sciences education. The course consists of five modules, and the duration of the course is 162 total hours, corresponding to 6 ECTS. The hours are divided in the following way:
- 32 hours of autonomous self-paced study;
- 16 hours total of Co-Creator Lab:
- 12 hours for the ongoing Co-Creator Lab sessions (3 hours per session);
- 4 hours for the final sharing Co-Creator Lab session;
- 114 hours for the project development.
The Course General Objectives are:
- To enable social sciences educators to understand and critically reflect on the fundamentals of AI and its applications in education.
